Essent requested that the water pump had to be fully repaired within the ongoing maintenance stop. All required repairs were inventoried and fitted in a plan of approach in order to realize a fast delivery time and a high quality.

Bakker Repair + Services disassembled the water pump on site and transported the machine to her workshop. All overhaul and repair jobs were executed here after which the machine was transported back, assembled and aligned.

What makes this project special is the fact that the mating surfaces are repaired by lassercladding. This innovative technique furnishes objects with anti corrosion and anti wear layers. When laserclading, the required heat levels are low, the process is very controllable and the added materials attach very well to the base material.
