At Bakker Repair, we are passionate about sharing our knowledge and expertise with professionals across the industry. That is why we regularly organize practical, hands-on training sessions covering a variety of topics within our field of expertise. These sessions are designed for anyone looking to expand their knowledge and gain deeper insight into the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electromechanical equipment.

We welcome our guests from 08:00 with breakfast and an informal reception at our facility. The morning begins with a brief introduction to Bakker Repair, our way of working, and our expertise, followed by an in-depth session on the topic of the day.

After the presentation, we will take you on a guided tour of our workshop, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at our daily operations, facilities, and services. The session will conclude at approximately 11:00.

Explosion-proof motors: safety starts with knowledge

Explosion-proof electric motors are used in environments where safety is critical. Maintenance, inspection and repair of these Ex motors therefore require specialist expertise and a thorough understanding of the applicable standards and guidelines. Incorrect procedures can compromise the explosion-proof integrity of the machine.

During this training session, our Ex specialists will take you through the key aspects of explosion-proof electric motors. We will discuss what to look out for in practice during inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as the requirements that must be met to maintain the explosion-proof integrity of a motor.

Drawing on our many years of practical experience, we will highlight the key considerations and technical challenges we encounter when working with Ex motors and explain how these are addressed in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.

Bakker Repair has many years of experience in the overhaul, repair and rewinding of explosion-proof electric motors and is certified as an IECEx Service Facility. During the training, we combine this specialist knowledge with practical examples from our day-to-day work.

This training is relevant for professionals working with explosion-proof electric motors who want to gain a better understanding of safe and responsible maintenance, inspection and repair.
